ハードドライブは一回払いのコストです。TBあたり一度支払えば、あとは何年も所有し続けられます。
一方クラウドストレージはTBあたり同程度の金額を、しかも毎月、永遠に請求してきます。

- ハードウェアを一切運用せず、自動でオフサイトバックアップしたい場合。
- 初期費用ゼロ、メンテナンスの手間もゼロにしたい場合。
スマホの写真や数点の書類程度なら、クラウドは優秀で、コストも無視できるレベルです。この規模なら利便性が確実に元を取ります。
ドライブ所有が圧倒的に有利になる場面
